GALLERY

Elemental was a collection of works which traces its inspiration to classic greek mythology. I became inspired by the story of Artemis, each tree, each river, had a spirit protector/soul...this thought flowed throughout the rich tapestry of mythology. Softly environmental, this series gave my vision of these spirits.
 
This remains a favourite piece of mine, the image pictued is a detail. I love the combination of colours and the contrast of the feminine/masculine aspect of the figure. This figure was quite a technical challenge at the time, and as such I just adore her-she seemed to flow from the brush.
